A Cabin in the Woods

By rumbleinthearctic on 2014.02.20 In Cabinlife Lifestyle Nature Photography Seasons

Temperatures have dropped again, around -26 – -36 C lately. Right now it’s -29 C. They were talking about -40 again as the lows for tonight but I don’t know about that. I am sitting in front of my wood stove with my kitty cat and relaxing. The good news are that it’s getting lighter, and equinox is around the corner, well almost. If I ski or bike to work right before 8 it is just starting to get light. It is really a nice feeling since it has been so dark for so long now. When it’s lighter the chances of crashing with moose is also significantly lower..

My cabin

Another good thing about life here lately is the aurora. It has been active a couple of nights now already around 8 in the evening.
Aurora urban style

The Aurora is usually pretty consistent, at least in the northern hemisphere. If the nordic countries see the aurora, it is pretty likely Alaska will too.

Now it’s bed time over here so have a nice day
