My Cabin, Aurora and the Weekend

By rumbleinthearctic on 2013.12.01 In Cabinlife Lifestyle Nature Nature Photography Outdoor

Last night I came home from Wasilla after celebrating a wonderful Thanksgiving with my friend and her family. The weather down there is usually pretty “warm” compared to up here, but this weekend it actually dropped down to about -10F down there. And when I came back home to my cabin the temp was around -29F or lower…I don’t know for sure cause I don’t have a thermometer at my cabin any longer.

Of course the northern light were out so I just Had to go outside and take some pictures. Below is a picture of my cabin, all covered in snow and some faint northern lights above it 🙂

I went out to the field next to the cabin and took some pictures too, of the faint Northern Lights.

The weekend was pretty nice too, even though it was cold. My friends husbands family has a great view from their property. And when I say great, I really do mean great.

You basically just step of the porch in their backyard and BOOM, the mountains are there to greet you.
